Solid base machine, no foundations are required. The main structure of the machine is electro welded steel, well protected from corrosion by a cycle of sandblasting, priming coat with zinc phosphate epoxy product and final painting with a high solid polyacrylic enamel.

The STORM can be used both in manual or automatic mode, to make parallel, perpendicular and diagonal cuts by turning the blade head with an interpolation of 5 axes. Some linear bearings and brushless motors guarantee fast movements and precise alignment of the cut, so that there is no need to rotate the table.

The unique features of Comandulli Storm EXV machine

  • ELECTRO-SPINDLE with 17.6 KW (in S6 service), rotation speed 50-4.000 rpm. The spindle holds a disc with maximum diameter 625 mm; the disc is well protected by a stainless steel casing,

  • THE DISC HOLDING SPINDLE moves along the bridge (X axis) on linear recirculating ball and guides with grease lubrication. The movement is carried on by a motor reducer with hardened pinion/rack kinematic mechanism controlled by Brushless motor with variable speed.

  • THE BRIDGE (Y axis) moves on tracks by means of wheels in oil bath, well protected; the movement is possible thanks to a motor reducer with hardened pinion/rack kinematic mechanism controlled by Brushless motor with variable speed.

  • THE DISC HOLDING SPINDLE height can be adjusted (Z axis) with a stroke of 500 mm; the adjustment is possible thanks to a motor reducer controlled by inverter with screw kinematic mechanism at recirculation ball and the sliding on chromium guides.

  • THE SPINDLE can be positioned on 455° (-90°/+365°) (A axis). The movement is carried on by a motor reducer without backlash and controlled by Brushless motor with variable speed.

  • CUTTING DISC automatic tilting from 0° to 90°

  • HYDRAULICALLY TILTABLE BENCH from 0°-85°, covered with marine wood. Measures 3.700×2000 mm

  • LINEAR LASER for material alignment checking and cutting direction, installed on the holding disc spindle and orients with it.

  • PRESETTING to measure the disc diameter

  • SENSOR to detect the salbs thickness

  • CAMERA to import the slab outline and the defects, complete with parametric software to position on video the pieces on which execute straight and curved cuts, automatic managing of the working sequence.

  • SLIDING DOORS: Wire-net fencing in front of the machine for the operator safety

  • CUTS OPTIMIZATION PROGRAM (Nesting) parametric software to position the piece on the video and execute carved cuts and linear; automatic management of the working sequence.

  • ELECTRICAL BOX on ground level on right side.

  • REMOTE PUSH BUTTONS WITH COLOR TOUCH SCREEN 17” panel on right side. Automatic programming system of all movements and data visualized on a touch-screen display.

  • CNC MODULE for interpolating 5 axes X, Y, Z, A and B simultaneously CNC 8070 OL FAGOR, dual processor, high-performance, high-speed module, dynamic monitoring tool wear, full digital on-line diagnostic system

  • MACHINE MAIN STRUCTURE BODY has been sandblasted then applied a special epoxy antioxidants coating then at the end painted.

  • TO PREVENT THE MACHINERY FROM RUST, its structure and main parts are metallized through a modern treatment that follows different phases: sandblasting, metallization with zinc wire, priming coat with zinc phosphate epoxy product and final painting with a high solid polyacrylic enamel. The painted covers are subject to cataphoresis treatment which follows different phases: degreasing of the piece, spry or dipping pre-treatment, electroplating bath which uses the electric power to plate the paint as to make a uniform skin, after-washing and furnace baking.
    In the event of accidental current interruption, the machine keeps in memory the position in which is located and resumes the working from the moment in which it was stopped.

  • THE STANDARD MACHINE is already equipped with all the devices and software required for all of the working cycles.
